Moving the Dialogue to Yarn Spinner

11/22/2020

Alison Brannon:

For the game demo our dialogue programmer Nate decided to use Yarn Spinner. While it was his job to set up the system it was my job to turn all the dialogue I wrote into Yarn Spinner documents so it could be implemented into our game.

Sample dialogue being used for the demo:

Encounter 1:

Sue Jane: Hi Eubie!
Eubie the Bumblebee: Hey Sue Jane, how's it going?
Sue Jane: Not so good, I lost my basket this morning.
Sue Jane: Now I won't be able to take these nuts to Lacey.
Eubie the Bumblebee: Don't worry, I'll find your basket for you!
Sue Jane: You will? Oh thank you Eubie!
Sue Jane: The last time I saw it was near Lily Pad Pond.

Encounter 2:

Eubie the Bumblebee: Here's your basket Sue Jane!
Sue Jane: Oh thank you Eubie!
Sue Jane: Here you can have these nuts as a gift.

Eubie the Bumblebee: Wow these are great, thanks!

Inside of a Yarn Spinner document the dialogue would look like this:
