Frog Character Development

A cute frog character in a hat is going to be a frequent visitor of the food market. Just like other characters before him, he was designed, modeled, and animated so he could be present in the game. 

Concept Art

The frog was given a sailor hat inspired by the likelihood of him living near a lake.

Character Modeling

The character was modeled off of the base mesh, being given a specially crafted hat. The modeling process also focused on giving the frog his large eyes and webbed hands and feet.

Animations

The same optimized rig used on Eubie and the ladybug was transferred over to the frog. While the rig's run and walk animations were removed, a special hop animation was given to the frog for the purposes of his movement.

Unity and Blend Trees

Like other characters before her, the ladybug was imported into Unity to have a blend tree created for her. The model, animations, and blend tree were exported and sent out to other members of the team.
